We all want to live a life that we love yet we can get disillusioned or confused about what type of steps we need to take to make it a reality. Living the life you love requires awareness of what you want, along with a clear focus and determination – and, most of all, you must be persistent.

Let me explain. Our lives are made up of various areas: family, career, finances, friends and spiritual growth, to name but a few. In order to succeed in any of these areas we need to first and foremost know exactly what we want. If you aren’t clear, then you run the risk of being disempowered by confusion and lack of direction. For some individuals, clarity comes easily and there is meaning and fulfillment in all their endeavors. However, for most of us, it takes persistence to figure out what makes us tick and what creates joy in our lives. And, for a good many, it takes great determination to sustain the willpower to find the right path and to follow it through. Persistence creates within us the inspiration for forward movement. If you are persistent, you don’t give up; you keep going even if that business idea fails or that date isn’t your soulmate. Your continued research and discernment guides you along to your determined goal. Remaining persistent is the key to your success. Once you are clear about what you want, you have to strategize. You need a business/marketing proposal for a business, a dating strategy to find your soulmate, an education/parenting plan to bring up kids and so on and so forth. Persistence is key at this stage, as most things don’t fall naturally into place. Trial and error is more the name of the game. If you aren’t willing to persevere, frustration and failure will be your companions. Plan B is just as good as Plan A, especially if Plan A didn’t make the mark. Open minds and hearts and a good sense of humor are prerequisites to creating the success in life you want. Living the life you love may end up looking very different than your original blueprint. As they say, “Life happens as we make our plans.” Persistence and knowing inside that something wonderful is about to happen will be a recipe for positive outcomes. Not only will you feel good while you wait, you’ll also be generating positive momentum. We are in charge of the effort and mindset, The Higher Source is in charge of the success and outcome. Don’t give up when things are looking bleak. You may be on the brink of a new discovery, relationship or business deal. Just remain focused, know what you want and be flexible. Above all, be persistent and have faith that it will pay off. Trust me. My life looks nothing like my Plan A, B or C. Yet, Plan D is more wonderful than I ever could have imagined. I continue to persist my way through. Living the life you love is a gift and a work of art. It is a magnificent work of focus, clarity of purpose and persistence. Think big, act small and never ever give up.
